Air cargo shipping decreased by 8.4% in Georgia last year, - according to the data from the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency. Namely, 18.376 tons of cargo were shipped in 2021, while the figure stood at 20.052 tons in 2020.
As for the pre-pandemic levels, air cargo shipping is down by 26% compared to 2019. 10 831 regular and 4 153 charter flights were fulfilled in that period.
As of today, only Tbilisi International Airport has a freight terminal, so all transported cargo accounts for this airport.
