Georgian Civil Aviation Agency declares, that air traffic has increased by 66% in 3Q2022. In total, 19,460 flights were recorded in the airspace of Georgia in 6 months of the current year. The statistics include both take-off and landing data, as well as overflights performed in Georgian airports.
The number of flights increased by 20% compared to the number of flights carried out in the same period of 2022.
In the three quarters of 2023, Georgian airports served 4,529,466 passengers, which was 37% more than the number of passengers transported in the same period of 2022. In January-September of this year, the number of passengers transferred by airports exceeded the number of passengers observed in the same period of 2019 by 9%, the first time since the resumption of air traffic.
