The Parliament endorsed the Agreement between Georgia and the UK on Air Traffic.
As the Deputy Economic Minister, Mariam Kvrivishvili noted, the Agreement allows the air companies to independently establish the tariffs, capacity and frequency.
The air traffic shall become admitted between any points on the territory of the country where international flights are implemented. The document also regulates issues, such as flight safety and aviation security, rights, freight forwarders, application of the Chicago Convention, the application of the joint codes by the air companies etc.
The Agreement facilitates the realization of regular air transportation-forwarding between Georgia and the UK, improvement of free competition and development of the trade-economic relations and tourism.
