Chairman of the Directorate and CEO of Ameriabank, Artak Hanesyan, announced significant achievements in attracting foreign investments and supporting Armenia’s economy, reports ARKA news agency.
According to Hanesyan, since the bank's inception, Ameriabank has secured funding equivalent to more than $1 billion from international financial organizations to finance various sectors of the country’s economy. Special attention has been given to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with over 500 billion AMD (more than $1.2 billion) allocated for their support.
Hanesyan also highlighted that Ameriabank has maintained its leading position in terms of loan portfolio size over the past decade. As of the third quarter of 2024, the bank's loan portfolio reached an impressive 1.13 trillion AMD (over $2.8 billion).
He further emphasized the bank’s contribution to Armenia’s state budget, noting that Ameriabank has been among the largest taxpayers in the country over the past five years, contributing 58 billion AMD in tax payments to the national treasury during this period.
Ameriabank is a leading fintech institution, playing a key role in Armenia’s economy. The bank's total assets exceed 1 trillion AMD (more than $2.5 billion).
