We will present the candidacy of Anri Okhanashvili to the Parliament of Georgia for the position of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, - GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at the briefing held at the Government Administration.
According to him, according to consultations with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia and the parliamentary majority, the Georgian Parliament will vote on the approval of Anri Okhanashvili on Friday of this week.
"I would like to remind you that before assuming the position of Minister of Justice, Anri Okhanashvili had been a member of the Georgian Parliament and the Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee for many years. Anri Okhanashvili is a Doctor of Law. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Humboldt University of Berlin in Germany. According to consultations with the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament and the parliamentary majority, the approval of Anri Okhanashvili in the Georgian Parliament will be put to a vote on Friday of this week," the Prime Minister said.
Anri Okhanashvili's official biography is as follows:
In 2006, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Bachelor's degree).
In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Master's degree).
