According to the press service of the Armenian government, the meeting between the Prime Ministers of Armenia and Georgia took place on September 16 in Tbilisi. Following the talks, the leaders made press statements highlighting the importance of developing bilateral relations.
Irakli Kobakhidze noted that the relations between Georgia and Armenia are based on "centuries-old friendship and mutual respect," which have evolved into a strategic partnership. He underscored the significance of the recently signed Declaration on Strategic Partnership, which has already led to "concrete practical results."
Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stated that in recent years, the Armenian-Georgian relations have seen "significant momentum," enabling expanded cooperation across all sectors. He particularly emphasized that in January this year, cooperation between the two countries was elevated to the level of a strategic partnership.
Both leaders stressed the importance of economic cooperation. Kobakhidze stated that economic interaction is one of the priority areas, while Pashinyan highlighted the need to unblock and fully utilize all economic infrastructures and channels in the region, which he considers "one of the priorities" of his government.
The Prime Ministers also discussed issues of regional stability and peace. Pashinyan presented the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, aimed at fostering regional economic integration.
In conclusion, both leaders expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of Armenian-Georgian relations and their readiness to further develop cooperation in all sectors.
