The Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body has made significant progress in expanding export opportunities for Armenian livestock farmers. As a result of successful negotiations, the transit of small ruminants from Armenia to Iraq via Iranian territory has become possible.
According to the information provided by the Inspection Body's press service, a preliminary permit from the authorized body in Iraq is required for the transit. Additionally, the animals must undergo a mandatory 21-day quarantine in Armenia under the supervision of a representative from the Iranian Veterinary Organization (IVO).
