On April 9, an Armenian-Kazakh business forum will be held in Yerevan, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
The event will be opened by speeches from the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, and the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev.
The forum will discuss issues related to the development of trade and economic relations, tourism, and logistics between the two countries.
Entrepreneurs from Armenia and Kazakhstan will hold meetings in a B2B format, and agreements and memoranda of cooperation will be signed.
Earlier, BMG reported that in 2023, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan increased by 2.4 times, reaching $100.5 million. During this period, exports grew by 3.8 times, reaching $71.3 million, while imports increased by 23.6%, totaling $29.2 million.
It was also announced that Kazakhstan's President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, plans to visit Armenia in the near future. In mid-February, Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, discussed the preparation for the visit of the Kazakhstani President with Ambassador Bolat Imanbayev.
