Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan will be dispatched to Russia to participate in the 6th meeting of the Industrial Policy Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to the government's press service, the meeting will take place within the framework of the international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM," scheduled from July 7 to 9 in Yekaterinburg.
Earlier, BMG reported that Armenia's total foreign trade volume for the first four months of this year increased 2.4 times compared to the same period last year, reaching $13.7 billion. Russia remains the leading trade partner for Armenia.
In January-April of this year, trade turnover with Russia increased 3.1 times, amounting to $6.3 billion.
The UAE ranked second among Armenia's foreign trade partners, with trade turnover in January-April increasing almost 7.3 times compared to the same period last year, reaching $2.85 billion.
China holds the third position in terms of trade volume with Armenia, with a total of $1.03 billion. Trade with China grew by 61% in the first four months of 2024.
