The development of transportation infrastructure will provide an additional impetus to the growth of trade turnover between our countries. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow on May 8.

In this context, Pashinyan once again outlined the Armenian government's initiated project "Crossroads of Peace."

Its aim, as noted by the Armenian Prime Minister, is to create necessary logistic conditions "for the development of trade and economic relations among all interested states based on full respect for the sovereignty and jurisdiction of states, parity, and reciprocity."

Earlier, BMG reported that in late October 2023, Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which essentially is the Armenian version of a project aimed at unlocking communications in the region after the 44-day war. From Yerevan's point of view, this is one of the components of the process of establishing a durable peace in the South Caucasus, and if implemented, it could change Armenia's status, helping it to emerge from isolation and become a logistical hub in the region
