Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, developed by the Armenian government, at an international forum in Turkey. The minister shared this information on his Facebook page.

Sanosyan participated in the World Congress of the International Road Federation, held in Istanbul. In his speech, the minister emphasized the importance of establishing new, reliable, and sustainable communication routes amid the current geopolitical conditions.

"The complete unblocking of economic infrastructure between all the countries of the region, the development of communications, and the enhancement of connectivity are priorities for the government of the Republic of Armenia," Sanosyan stated.

The minister reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to unblock all existing communication routes passing through its sovereign territory and to create new ones.

Sanosyan added that, according to the "Crossroads of Peace" project, the entire economic and transport infrastructure of the region should be unblocked and function under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the respective countries, based on the principles of equality and reciprocity.

Earlier, BMG reported that in late October 2023, Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which essentially is the Armenian version of a project aimed at unlocking communications in the region after the 44-day war. From Yerevan's point of view, this is one of the components of the process of establishing a durable peace in the South Caucasus, and if implemented, it could change Armenia's status, helping it to emerge from isolation and become a logistical hub in the region.
