Armenian Prime Minister to Skip CIS Summit Due to Recent COVID-19 Diagnosis

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced his decision to forgo the informal CIS leaders’ summit in St. Petersburg on December 25 after being diagnosed with COVID-19 a few days ago.

In a Facebook post, the Armenian Prime Minister shared that he tested positive for COVID-19 on December 23 and subsequently spent two days in self-isolation, working from home. Although his test returned negative on December 25, consultations with colleagues led to the decision to refrain from attending today’s CIS summit.
