Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in the first 8 months of 2023 amounted to about $12 billion, having surged by 53% from the same time span in 2022, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
It said in August 2023 alone compared to August last year, the foreign trade was up 10%, and compared to July this year – up 8.7%. in Armenian drams, the foreign trade of 8 months was worth over 4.6 trillion.
Armenian exports increased by 51.8% to about $4.5 billion, In August 2023 a 6.1% growth was recorded compared to August last year.
Armenian imports totaled over $7.5 billion, registering a 53.8% increase compared to January-August 2022. In August of the current year, imports grew by 12.4% from August 2022.
