According to Armenia's Statistical Committee, the gross output of agriculture, forestry, and fishing in the country increased by 4.3% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year. The total output of these sectors amounted to 311.2 billion drams (800 million USD).
The agricultural sector showed a 4% growth, producing 285.8 billion drams (more than 734 million USD). Crop production, in particular, demonstrated impressive results with a 10.6% growth. The output in this subsector, including land cultivation services, reached 117.5 billion drams (302 million USD).
Animal husbandry saw a slight increase of 0.1%, with a production volume of 168.2 billion drams (432 million USD).
Forestry and fishing also showed positive trends. Forestry grew by 7.1%, with an output of 989.7 million drams (more than 2.5 million USD), while fishing grew by 7.2%, with an output of 24.4 billion drams (more than 62.7 million USD).
The most productive period was the second quarter of 2024, during which the gross agricultural output reached 198.5 billion drams (more than 500 million USD), a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
