On October 10, Armenia's Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, held a meeting with representatives from Wizz Air Group. Deputy Minister Narek Ovakimyan was also present at the meeting.
Over the past two years, active cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Economy's Tourism Committee and Wizz Air Group has led to the successful implementation of a marketing campaign promoting Armenia in Germany, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, in collaboration with Wizz Air, Armenia hosted familiarization visits for international media representatives and bloggers.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the airline's development plans, possibilities for launching new routes, and increasing the number of flights to Armenia. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation with the Ministry of Economy’s Tourism Committee.
Wizz Air currently operates flights from Yerevan to cities such as Rome, Milan, Venice, Budapest, Vienna, Dortmund, Sofia, Larnaca, and Abu Dhabi.
