Armenia's prime minister and World Bank vice president discuss "Crossroads of Peace” project

Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the World Bank's Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani on March 4th.

According to the Armenian government's press service, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of joint programs implemented in infrastructure development, energy, transportation, education, and ensuring their continued succession.

In turn, Antonella Bassani expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Armenian government and noted that work on developing a partnership strategy, taking into account Armenia's priorities, is in its final stages.

"The discussion also covered issues related to further cooperation, humanitarian issues concerning displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, and the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace” project and its principles," the statement said.

It is noted that the parties emphasized the importance of unlocking regional infrastructure in accordance with the principles of sovereignty, legitimacy, equality, and reciprocity, expressing confidence that this would contribute to the development of trade and economic ties.
