As of 9 months, hotel demand and prices up by 10% - Giorgi Dolidze

Giorgi Dolidze, director of HSC Group Hospitality and manager of Glarros OldTown Hotel decalres, that the number of tourists in the hotel increased by 10% this year. As Dolidze said, accommodation in the hotel became more expensive by 10% due to the increase in demand.

Glarros OldTown currently has an occupancy rate of 75%, with the majority of visitors coming from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Israel.

"If we compare 9 months of the current year with last year, we did not have an average season last year. We moved from low to high income season. This year we have got the increased tourism benchmark, both occupancy and price have increased by 10%", said Giorgi Dolidze.

As for the geography of the countries, Giorgi Dolidze says, last year's trend is maintained and the guests mainly come from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Israel, neighboring countries and partly from Europe.

"We have a 5-7% increase in European tourists. Tourists from Germany, Poland and Italy have increased. Group tours from Europe are on the way to recovery.

As for the price classification, there are those who stay in hostels for $10-12 a night. The price of an apartment ranges from USD 60 to USD 70. The price of four- and five-star hotels is above USD 100-120," said Dolidze.
