"Askaneli" has opened a new wine factory in the village of Bakurtsikhe, Gurjaani municipality, the company reported on its Facebook page. According to "Askaneli", up to 16 thousand tons of grapes will be processed in the new enterprise.
"We are happy to inform you about the opening of the Askaneli Winery in the beautiful village of Bakurtsikhe, Gurjaani Municipality!
The factory, equipped with modern technologies, can receive and process up to 16,000 tons of grapes, which will help us bring even more of the best Georgian brands to you!
The announcement also states that the reception of white grapes has already started at Bakurtsikhe enterprise.
The founder of "Askaneli", Gocha Chkhaidze, spoke about the new factory in "Business Week" on BMGTV and noted that the enterprise planned to process up to 9,000 tons of grapes this year.
Gocha Chkhaidze did not specify the investment value of the new enterprise, however, according to Giorgi Darchiashvili, head of the large and medium-sized corporate clients' service department of TBC Bank, in total, the bank allocated a loan of more than GEL 50 million for Askaneli between 2023-2024.
