Georgia’s Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said the potential for increasing Georgian wine exports to Singapore was discussed during high-level meetings held as part of her official visit to the country.
She noted that the Georgian delegation met with Singapore’s president, prime minister, government officials, and private sector representatives. Discussions focused on strengthening trade and economic ties, with particular attention given to promoting Georgian wine in the Singaporean market.
Kvrivishvili said investors and business representatives were also introduced to Georgia’s investment environment and opportunities. She expressed hope that the meetings would lead to concrete results in the future.
However, official data shows that Georgian wine exports to Singapore have declined significantly. According to Geostat, in the first half of 2025 Georgia exported only 200 liters of wine worth $700 to Singapore, a decrease of more than 99% year-on-year. In the same period of 2024, exports totaled 3.9 tons worth $148,600.
