Company Askaneli is expanding its restaurant chain outside the country and plans to open "Askaneli's Georgian House" in Dubai and Almaty in 2023.
According to Gocha Chkhaidze, founder of the company, the opening of restaurants in the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan is a great success for the company. The company will invest over USD 2.6 million for the expansion of the restaurant chain in the mentioned locations.
"Last week we signed a very interesting agreement with Raffles Hotel in Dubai. It is one of the big hotels in Dubai and one of the favorite places of Sheikhs. The hotel administration gave us its restaurant, which is located on the second floor, has 280 seats and includes terraces. The restaurant is fully equipped with modern equipment, which is worth about USD 4 million, so we will have to make a very small investment. Accordingly, on September 1, 2023, a Georgian restaurant will be launched in Dubai.
Askaneli is also planning to open another restaurant with the same concept in April-May 2023 in the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan. We chose a very good location in the city for this - in front of the First President's Park. This is an interesting, luxurious place where "Askaneli's Georgian House" will be launched. This will be the center of Georgian culture in these countries," Chkhaidze said.
