Georgia exported 4.5 thousand tons of tangerines worth USD 2.4 million between September 1 and November 25, according to new data from the Ministry of Agriculture. The ministry reports that the average exporting price stood at USD 0.53 per kilogram.
The ministry did not provide comparative data for the same period last year. However, figures from the National Statistics Office show that in the first ten months of 2025, Georgia exported 4,786 tons of tangerines worth USD 2.8 million, marking a 69.2% decline compared to 2024.
Armenia remained the leading exporting market this year, importing 3,045 tons of Georgian tangerines valued at USD 1.6 million. Russia followed with 1,720 tons worth USD 1.1 million, while Kazakhstan imported 20.8 tons valued at USD 34,200.
The sharp annual drop in exporting volume reflects challenges in both production and market demand, though detailed explanations have not been provided by the ministry.
