In November, the price of balancing electricity decreased, falling below 15 tetri for the first time since June, reaching 14.95 tetri, according to ESCO data.
For comparison, balancing electricity cost 16.6 tetri in August, 15.98 tetri in September, and 15.85 tetri in October.
The volume of balancing electricity traded through ESCO in November totaled 384.4 million kWh, representing 32% of the total supply in the network, with a total value of 57.5 million GEL.
Most of the balancing electricity purchased by ESCO came from thermal power plants, accounting for 54.2% of the total. Hydropower contributed 23.9%, wind energy 0.7%, and imports made up 21.2% of the total volume.
