A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Bank of Georgia and "Bene Group." Within the framework of the agreement, a warehouse complex will be built in Gardabani, in the village of Gamrajvemba. The Bank of Georgia will fund the logistics company with USD 5.5 million. The logistics company will be located on an area of 13,000 sq.m. As the founder of Bene Group, Giorgi Goglidze, told BMG, the company's goal is to fill the existing deficit in the market.

"We submitted a development plan to the Bank of Georgia at the beginning of the year. The plan mainly includes the development of warehouses. This direction is problematic in the country; if you need a large warehouse, it practically does not exist," Giorgi Goglidze said.

According to the founder of "Bene Group", the joint project of the bank and the logistics company provides the opening of a class A warehouse, for which there is a growing demand.

Giorgi Goglidze notes that the logistics company has absorbed a total of USD 50 million in cooperation with the Bank of Georgia and will take over completed projects with an area of 50,000 sq. m. by the end of the year.

Speaking about its plans for 2025, the CEO of "Bene Group" also notes that the company will open a logistics center in Poti, as the demand from international companies in this direction is growing in Georgia.

"There is a very high demand from international companies, that's why we are building a logistics center in Poti. Earthworks are underway and we think we will complete it by the end of the year. The Middle Corridor is becoming more and more relevant, and Georgia, as the situation around it becomes more and more tense, is also becoming more relevant. International companies demand high standards, and we want to meet these demands.

In the future, we want to purchase more equipment, which we really need. We are considering building a logistics center in Natakhtari as well," said Giorgi Goglidze.
