In 2026, the construction and renovation materials company Nova plans to take significant steps toward achieving billion-GEL sales, with a strong focus on expanding production. The company’s CEO, Edisher Khimshiashvili, spoke about these plans on BMGTV, highlighting a long-term strategic vision developed after the company issued 50 million GEL in bonds in 2025. According to Khimshiashvili, the billion-GEL sales target is part of a 5-10 year strategy aimed at sustainable growth.
Khimshiashvili emphasized that production is central to Nova’s strategy. He outlined plans to expand the product range and diversify markets, including the first steps toward production expansion in Armenia. In addition, the company intends to build new production infrastructure in Georgia, including in Poti, to reach sales goals not only in the domestic market, which is limited in size, but also in export markets. This strategic approach is part of Nova’s broader vision for long-term development.
Import substitution is another key focus for the company. Khimshiashvili explained that in 2026, Nova will transfer the production of polyethylene containers from Turkey to Georgia, aiming to almost completely eliminate imports. The company also plans to diversify production geographically beyond Tbilisi and Batumi, expanding to Khashuri, Telavi, Marneuli, and other cities. The goal is to increase logistical flexibility, reduce costs, and support regional industrial development.
Looking ahead, Nova also plans to start producing solar panel mounting structures from next summer. Khimshiashvili stressed that while becoming a major exporter may be challenging, Nova can make a significant impact by replacing imports and creating value domestically, particularly in areas where it already has expertise, such as polyethylene products and containers. These steps form the core of Nova’s 2026 growth and production strategy.
