Tamaz Mchedlidze, founder of the Bioli Medical Wellness Resort, says he has invested $52 million in the project so far and estimates that another $20–25 million and up to five years will be be needed to complete it. Speaking to BMGTV, he said the resort, launched in 2017 after development began in 2005, is still under construction.

The resort is expanding with new attractions, including a 7D motion cinema featuring virtual tours of Georgia's scenic destinations and a planned helicopter service for guests. A premium wellness zone with a pool and health treatments is also expected to open by the end of this year or early next year, while construction of a new clinic is scheduled to begin in 2027.

Mchedlidze also said he has paused the planned Wellness Villas project, explaining that although it attracted strong interest abroad, Georgia's limited international recognition makes it difficult to sell the luxury properties at their intended value.

He stressed that Bioli is not a business project for him but a personal mission. The project is financed entirely through income from his network of clinics in Russia, and he has intentionally avoided outside investors. Mchedlidze believes Bioli will be fully completed within five years and become one of the world's leading medical wellness resorts.
