According to BP’s quarterly report, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline exported approximately 49 million barrels (6 million tonnes) of crude oil in the first quarter of 2026. The oil was loaded onto 65 tankers at the Ceyhan terminal in Türkiye.
Export volumes were down by about 5 million barrels compared to the same period in 2025.
BP said BTC’s operating expenditure totaled around $30 million during the quarter, while capital expenditure amounted to $28 million.
Since commencing operations in June 2006, the 1,768-kilometer pipeline has transported a cumulative 4.7 billion barrels of crude oil (more than 626 million tonnes) through the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Current BTC shareholders are SOCAR (32.97%), BP (30.10%), MOL (8.90%), TPAO (6.53%), Eni (5.00%), TotalEnergies (5.00%), ITOCHU (3.40%), ONGC Videsh (3.10%), ExxonMobil (2.50%), and INPEX (2.50%).
