Kazakh Oil and Oil Product Transit Through Georgia Increases

Kazakhstan’s state-owned KazTransOil has increased the transit of oil and oil products through Georgia, with shipments of Kazakh crude via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline showing notable growth.

In January–August 2026, the BTC pipeline transported 1.034 million tons of Kazakh oil, up by 12% year-on-year.

Transit through the Batumi Oil Terminal also increased. Total shipments of oil, oil products and gas through Batumi reached 1.251 million tons, up by 3% compared with the same period of 2025.

According to KazTransOil, logistics and transportation indicators improved across almost all areas during the first eight months of 2026. The consolidated volume of oil transportation and oil product transshipment reached 31.89 million tons, a 4% increase year-on-year.
