The Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel, a premium establishment located on Rustaveli Avenue in the heart of Tbilisi, reports a positive start to the tourist season.
According to Mariam Kutateladze, the hotel’s sales manager, occupancy rates have risen significantly since May. “We can say that the situation started to improve in May, and this positive trend has continued into June. In both months, occupancy exceeded 80%,” she told BM.GE.
Kutateladze notes a shift in consumer behavior post-pandemic. While travelers used to book hotels up to a year in advance, last-minute reservations have now become the norm. Business tourism, in particular, has picked up recently, contributing to the higher occupancy rates.
“Currently, the Indian market is very active in organizing conferences, and since June, we’ve also seen growing interest from the Gulf countries. The number of guests from Israel is also increasing, and starting tomorrow, we’ll begin hosting European groups. These are mixed groups, with no specific countries standing out,” she said, adding that individual bookings are following similar patterns.
Despite the high season, the hotel has kept its prices unchanged. “The rate for a standard room, including breakfast, is USD 200 per night,” Kutateladze stated.
