Cargo turnover increased in the "Middle Corridor".
According to the data of the "Transcaspian International Transport Route Association", 1,647,000 tons of cargo were transported through the so-called "Middle Corridor" in 6 months, the annual increase is 27%. In 6 months of 2023, the cargo turnover on this route tood at 1.3 million tons.
"Middle Corridor" container shipments have also increased dramatically. According to the data of 6 months of 2024, 21 thousand TEU containers were transported on the route, while last year, the corridor served 20,200 units of containers in total.
In 2023, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported through the so-called "Middle Corridor", in 2021 - 1.48 million tons.
