Caucasus University (CU) is expanding into the school education sector. The university has completed construction of a 24,000 sq. m. university and school complex in Batumi, which will house the region’s private school. It will be able to maintain a 12-year curriculum. The facility is expected to officially open this month.

CU President Kakha Shengelia said the main reason for choosing Batumi was the strong demand for high-quality school education in western Georgia. He noted that both the university and school facilities have been completed and the university aims to help address the region’s education deficit.

Shengelia also said CU is considering Marneuli for its second school. He said that if the university opens another school after Batumi, it would likely be in Marneuli rather than Tbilisi, with the goal of creating another high-quality private school in the region.

CU is also planning international expansion. The university already operates a large training center in Dubai, which may soon be transformed into a campus. At the same time, CU is preparing to enter the Uzbekistan market, with plans focused on Tashkent, where the university is currently meeting with businesses and government representatives before making a final decision.
