Caucasus University has admitted a record number of students in its 27-year history, according to University President Kakha Shengelia. He told BMG that nearly 1,800 high-performing students will begin their studies at the university this academic year.
Shengelia said 1,730 students were admitted with some of the highest entrance exam scores, describing this year’s intake as not only the largest but also the strongest in terms of academic performance.
The university has nearly filled all available places. Shengelia noted that the only exception was a joint program with American and European partners, which was launched shortly before the start of the academic year and therefore received less public awareness.
