Local self-government elections are being held in Georgia today. The existing polling stations in the country were opened at 08:00 in the morning.
According to the budget, the Central Election Commission will be financed with 74.5 million GEL this year. Of this, GEL 45 million is spent on election events, which is GEL 5 million less than in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
There are 3,664 polling stations in Georgia fully prepared for the elections, 9 exceptions created in exceptional cases and 70 special polling stations created to ensure the participation of voters in inpatient facilities and isolation (quarantine, self-isolation).
The total number of voters is 3,497,345. Among them, 6045 voters will benefit from inpatient treatment facilities and isolation (quarantine, self-isolation), and 74550 voters will benefit from the portable box.
Voters will be given three types of mayoral ballots, majoritarian and proportional ballot papers.
