Cosmetics Imports In Georgia Up By 17%

Imports of cosmetics and skincare products are increasing in Georgia. According to official statistics, in January–September 2025, the country imported 2,483 tons of such products, worth USD 69.4 million.

For comparison, during the same period in 2024, cosmetics imports amounted to USD 59.3 million and 2,103 tons. Accordingly, the value of cosmetics imports increased by 16.9%, while the volume rose by 18%.

France remains the most important partner country for Georgia in this category. Over the past nine months, Georgia imported 286 tons of French cosmetics worth USD 17 million.

TOP-10 countries importing cosmetics and skincare products to Georgia are as follows:

  • France – $17 million (286 tons)
  • Korea – $6.1 million (137 tons)
  • Poland – $5.5 million (343 tons)
  • USA – $5.2 million (71 tons)
  • Italy – $5 million (72 tons)
  • Germany – $4.6 million (156 tons)
  • Spain – $4.1 million (193 tons)
  • Russia – $2.7 million (172 tons)
  • China – $2.5 million (392 tons)
  • Turkey – $2.4 million (203 tons)

Statistics show that the share of both European and Asian cosmetic brands is growing in the Georgian market, reflecting increasing consumer demand and greater industry diversification.

At BM.GE’s request, the National Statistics Agency provided a list of the Top 10 companies importing cosmetics and skincare products into Georgia:
