The demand for new apartments has increased especially in Saburtalo and Didi Dighom, - this is noted in Colliers' Tbilisi residential real estate market review, which summarizes the data for 9M2022.
According to the review, the demand for residential apartments in Tbilisi increased by 21% in January-September compared to the same period of 2021.
However, according to the review, observing the trends of the last nine months of 2022, the demand for newly built medium segment apartments in Tbilisi has doubled and the number of registered transactions has exceeded 5,000 units. There is also a 137% increase in demand for premium segment apartments. As for the economy segment, only 5% growth was recorded.
The weighted average price of newly-built flats has increased by 13% in the inner city of Tbilisi, while the figure grew by 9% in the suburbs and by 16% in the centre. As for the old flats, the weighted average price has increased by 12% in the centre and the suburbs, while in the inner city 14% increase was observed.
