Confectionery brand “Dona” is entering the Easter season with stable pricing, despite rising costs of certain ingredients. Company head Tamila Bezhanidze told BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative that classic Easter cake prices will remain unchanged this year.
Bezhanidze noted that geopolitical tensions in the Persian Gulf have already driven up prices for dried fruits and spices, but the company decided not to pass these increases on to customers. “We are keeping prices unchanged for our classic Easter cake,” she said, adding that two sizes - 750g and 1,400g - will be available. Only minimal adjustments were made to the prices of cottage cheese paskas, she noted, and these will not affect customers significantly.
Demand for Easter products is already rising. “We have started producing and selling Easter cakeს and panettones in small quantities, and early sales confirm increased demand,” Bezhanidze said. She added that the number of producers has also grown, intensifying competition.
Orders are now open for both traditional Easter cakes and Italian panettones. “Dona” will also offer several cottage cheese Easter cakes variations - classic, pistachio, chocolate, and coconut (the latter designed for consumers who avoid eggs). These products will be available by pre-order only. The company is also preparing for a high volume of corporate orders, which historically make up a significant share of Easter-season sales.
