Economy Grew By 10.5% Instead Of 10.4% In 2021 - Geostat

In 2021 the real GDP increased by 10.5%. In 2021 GDP deflator percentage change equaled 10.3% YoY, - according to the adjusted results from the National Statistics Office of Georgi (Geostat).

As of the document, the largest shares of GDP by activity are held by Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (15.4%) and Manufacturing (11.3%), followed by Real estate activities (10.2%), Construction (7.5%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.4%), Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (6.5%), Transportation and storage (6.3%), Financial and insurance activities (5.2%), Human health and social work activities (4.8%), and Education (4.7%).

As for the results of 2022, in the 9 months of the current year, the economic growth of Georgia amounted to 10.2%, according to the updated forecast of the government, this year the economic growth will be 10%, and next year it will be 5%.
