Law enforcement officers have detained Elene Khoshtaria, the leader of the Droa opposition party. The party’s press service has confirmed this development and has also shared relevant video footage via social media.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), following a request from representatives of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party, has launched a probe into allegations that Elene Khoshtaria damaged election banners.
This investigation is conducted under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the damage or destruction of property.
