The Eurasian Economic Forum 2024 will be held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1.
An online meeting of the forum's organizing committee was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mher Grigoryan.
According to the EAEU website, the forum will coincide with a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and will be dedicated to the results of the Union's ten years of operation, as well as the prospects and priorities for its development.
The goal of the forum is to improve cooperative ties across the Eurasian space. It is expected that the event will be attended by leaders of large, medium, and small businesses, government officials from the Union countries, as well as from third countries, and representatives of international organizations interested in developing cooperation with the EAEU.
The program includes more than 30 events, including a plenary session with the participation of the heads of EAEU governments on the topic "Digitalization in Modern Realities – An Imperative for Ensuring the Four Freedoms." During the discussions, experts from member states and third countries will explore new directions for the strategic development of the Union.
The Eurasian Economic Forum is an annual business event of the Union in the economic sphere. It is held alternately in one of the EAEU member states that presides over the Union's bodies, based on the decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council dated October 1, 2019.
In 2024, the Republic of Armenia holds the chairmanship in the EAEU bodies, and the chairman of the organizing committee is Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan.
