“Despite the fact that candidate status was conceived as an instrument of blackmail against Georgia, we neither succumbed to blackmail and still received candidate status,” GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
According to Kobakhidze, “European integration remains the main foreign policy priority.”
“We think that by 2030 it will be quite realistic to think about this, specifically, by 2030 we will be more ready than any candidate country to join the European Union. In all respects, this applies to democracy, human rights, rule of law, as well as the economy and general readiness for EU membership. Accordingly, we are very optimistic about the future of our country in all aspects,” noted Irakli Kobakhidze.
