The Culture, the Sports and Youth Issues, and the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committees heard the Annual Report on Implementation of the State Budget 2021 and the Main Macro-Economic Forecasts and Main Directions of the Ministries, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze, stating that real GDP growth in 2021 constituted 10,4%.
As for inflation, the annual rate in 2021 was determined at 13,9%. The foreign trade index constituted 25,7% - 13 326.7 ml USD, where the export share was 5 242.3 and import – 10 084.4 ml USD. In 2021, Georgia hosted 1 881.3 k. international visitors – exceeding the index of 2020 with 7,7%.
Deputy Minister overviewed the expenses on culture, sports and diaspora: the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports was represented in the Budget in a uniform manner and its expenses constituted 882 ml GEL with the implementation index of 106%; in terms of the investments, 8 ml was planned for culture, which gradually was increased to 12,6 ml GEL, while the consumed sum constituted 12,4 ml GEL – 98,5%; as to sports, 47,7 ml GEL has been spent with the implementation index of 100%; the art and sports institutions consumed 5,6 ml GEL – 97% of implementation; 71,9 ml GEL has been directed for culture – 100,9% of implementation; costs for the preservation of the cultural heritage constituted 8,5 ml GEL – 95%; expenses for the mass and high sports constituted 137 ml GEL – 100,5%; social aid for the cultural and sports figures were determined as 34,7 ml GEL – 108,9%; and 881 000 GEL was consumed for the diaspora – 100%”.
According to the Deputy Minister, money transfers increased by 24% and constituted 2 032.7 ml USD; and as to the mixed budget parameters, the income forecast index was determined as 14 928 250.0 k. GEL, while 15 142 672.8 k. GEL was mobilized.
