Exports Hit Record High In The Last 10 Years - TOP-10 Commodities

In January-November 2022 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 17 018.2 million, 32.2% higher to the same period of 2021. The exports equaled USD 5 037.1 million (31.8 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 11 981.1 million (32.4 percent higher),- according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In January-November 2022 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 78.9%. The top partners were China (USD 660.7 million), Russia (USD 597.9 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 595.5 million).

In January-November 2022 copper ores and concentrates reclaimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 932.9 million with 18.5% of total exports. The exports of motor cars totaled USD 762.8 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 15.1%. The exports ferro-alloys occupied the third place standing at USD 454.8 million and constituting 9% of the total exports.

2. Motor cars - USD 762.8 million, increase - 82.7%;
3. Ferroalloys - USD 454.8 million, growth - 9.7%;
4. Nitrogen fertilizers - USD 249.1 million, increase - 155.1%;
5. Natural grape wines - USD 232.5 million, growth - 7.4%;
6. Alcoholic beverages - USD 134 million, decrease - 4.7%;
7. Mineral and fresh waters - USD 104.5 million, decrease - 20.1%;
8. Medicaments put up in measured doses - USD 98.1 million, increase - 11.9%;
9. Hazelnuts and other nuts - USD 89.8 million, decrease - 15.6%;
10. Electricity - USD 84.3 million;

Other commodities: USD 1.9 billion.
