Georgia’s annual inflation rate reached 5.7% in May 2026, while monthly inflation stood at 0.3%, according to Geostat. Food prices remained the main driver of inflation, rising 5.2% year-on-year, while transport costs increased due to higher fuel prices, with fuel prices up 22.7%.

- 958 gold wedding rings: +53.8%
- Diesel fuel: +48.0%
- Newspapers: +41.4%
- Pears: +36.8%
- Tomatoes: +36.7%
- Peppers: +32.9%
- Smoked fish: +31.2%
- Magazines: +29.6%
Meanwhile, the largest annual price declines were recorded for:
- Potatoes: -26.4%
- Televisions: -22.6%
- Garlic: -22.1%
- Internet service fees: -22.0%
- Oranges: -20.1%
- Mandarins: -18.8%
- Plates: -17.5%
- Washing machines: -16.3%
- Refrigerators: -15.3%
