External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 14, 703 million in January-August 2024, 3% higher year-on-year, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The value of export increased by 2.4% reaching USD 4 173.4 million, while the import increased by 3.3% and amounted to USD 10 529.8 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 6 356.3 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 43.2%.
