ქუთაისის აეროპორტი

Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest-growing airline, has expanded its operations at Kutaisi International Airport, increasing the number of aircraft to four at its base. The airline has also introduced direct regular flights on the Kutaisi-Copenhagen-Kutaisi route. This expansion represents a rare case where Wizz Air has doubled the number of aircraft based at Kutaisi International Airport within a year and added new destinations.

Irakli Karkashadze, the Director General of the United Airports of Georgia, congratulated Georgia on obtaining the status of the European Union. He highlighted the significance of the new flights from Kutaisi to the European Union and the added convenience, flexibility, and discounted prices for passengers travelling to Europe.

“The increase to four based aircraft at Kutaisi International Airport marks its transformation into a medium-sized base, contributing to further stable development and growth,” Karkashadze stated.

Kutaisi International Airport is recognized as a growing and in-demand airport, serving as a key hub for direct flights from Georgia to Europe.
