According to Geostat, if last year 67% of oil imports came from Russia, in 2024, the figure decreased to 43%, which is related to the exporting restrictions imposed by Russia itself on fuel exports. Quantitatively, the value of fuel purchased from Russia in the first 4 months of 2024 amounted to USD 183.7 million, which was 14% less compared to the same period of the previous year.
As a result, Georgia increased its imports from other countries.
