Armenia's fuel market is experiencing a downward trend in prices. According to the Statistical Committee, in October 2024, gasoline prices fell by 5.8% compared to the same month last year, while diesel fuel saw an even more significant drop of 8.4%.
The positive trend is also evident when compared to the end of 2023: gasoline prices decreased by 4.9%, and diesel prices by 8.2%. The most notable reduction was seen in the liquefied gas market (butane, propane), where fuel prices dropped by 25.9% in just the last month.
The October figures show only minor fluctuations compared to September: gasoline prices increased by a symbolic 0.1%, while diesel fuel decreased by 0.4%.
Experts note that the decline in fuel prices is part of a broader deflationary trend in the non-food goods market, where prices have dropped by 1.7% over the past year.
