The Statistical Committee of Armenia has released a report on the dynamics of fuel prices in the country, revealing a mixed picture of changes over the past year.
According to the data presented, the cost of gasoline in July 2024 increased by 10.2% compared to the same period last year. An even more significant price increase was observed in the diesel fuel segment, rising by 15.4% over the same period.
However, the short-term dynamics tell a different story. Compared to June 2024, gasoline prices decreased by 2.6%, while diesel prices fell by 2.4%. Even more notable is the price drop when compared to December 2023: gasoline prices decreased by 8.8%, and diesel prices by 6.7%.
Interestingly, the overall trend in the non-food goods market in Armenia shows a slight decrease in prices. In July 2024, prices fell by 0.5% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 0.3% month-over-month.
