As the Deputy Minister of Finance, Giorgi Kakauridze stated at the sitting of the Education and Science Committee, funding for education and science will increase by 40 million GEL.
According to the rapporteur, up to 15 million GEL will be granted to the Ministry of Education and Science to purchase computers for first-graders, and 9.3 million GEL will be allocated to inventory the 90 schools that have been reconstructed; 6 ml GEL will be added to the costs of continuing and promoting distance learning;
Transportation charges will be covered by additional 4.8 million GEL;
An additional 3 million GEL will be allocated for the purchase of personal protective equipment in schools.
2 million GEL will be allocated for the printing of 8th grade books of non-Georgian language schools.
