“We want to reset the strategic partnership with the United States,” GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
Responding to a question about the invitation extended by Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna to a Georgian parliamentary delegation to visit the United States, Kobakhidze noted that such a format is very important.
“We continue to patiently wait for a reset in relations. We remain optimistic, and our optimism has been supported, among other things, by the meetings that took place during the opening of the Olympic Games in Milan—I mean the conversation on one side between our President and Foreign Minister, and on the other side the Vice President and the Secretary of State of the United States. All of this keeps us optimistic. Of course, events like this and the parliamentary format are very important. We want to reset the strategic partnership with the United States,” the Prime Minister said.
