Supported by the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the American marketing agency Colangelo & Partners, a wine tour was held in Georgia for American wine professionals.According to the National Wine Agency, the 14-member delegation included Hema Bose, a representative from Colangelo & Partners, alongside trade professionals from the U.S. wine industry.
During the tour, the American guests visited Georgian wine producers in the Kartli and Kakheti regions, where they explored Georgian winemaking techniques and local cuisine firsthand, sampling both classic and traditional Qvevri-made wines.Since 2022, Colangelo & Partners has been executing a marketing campaign for Georgian wine in the U.S. in collaboration with the National Wine Agency.
Operating in the American market for over 15 years, it is one of the largest marketing agencies in the sector.The agency emphasized that hosting American wine professionals in Georgia plays a key role in raising awareness and driving demand for Georgian wine across the U.S. market.
"The U.S. stands out for its highly competitive wine market and stringent quality demands. In recent years, numerous marketing events supported by the National Wine Agency have significantly boosted the visibility of Georgian wine in the American market, which represents one of the highest-value export markets for Georgian wine," the agency stated.
The National Wine Agency noted that the average export price per liter of Georgian wine to the U.S. is approximately $6, nearly double the overall average export price for Georgian wine globally.Georgian wine exports to the U.S. experienced a slight decline in early 2026. From January through July 2026, Georgia exported 523,293 liters of wine valued at $3.1 million to the U.S., compared to 527,199 liters worth $3.3 million during the same period in 2025.
